"I left Robin Trower behind many years ago. The radio stations beat Bridge of Sighs and Day Of The Eagle to death, and then James Dewar was lost to us.
I remember seeing RT in Houston on his "??? ??? Mist" (can't remember what it was called) tour. I remember that even Bridge Of Sighs was grittier, and I liked it.
Fast forward a few years (OK, decades) and I picked up the Caravan to Midnight (one of my faves from the late 70s) AND Victim Of The Fury. Great songs, lots of rock. So, I decided to find out what Trower was doing now.
This album is what he is doing now. It's gritty, it growls, it oozes that Robin Trower soul. I love it.
I thought this would be an album that I would listen to a few times just for nostalgia sake. Now it is one of my favorite albums. I listen to it over and over without getting "Free Bird" sick of it. This album stands on its own and belongs in this century, not the past.
Get it, you'll love it too."
