What sets this CD apart from Roberto's previous releases is that it has a more laid-back, classic Cuban-music-flavored Son Montuno/Tipico/ Conjunto sound, style and ambience on most tracks. "Vigilandote", "Campanera", "Dios Me Libre", "Te Solte La rienda" and "Yo Tenia Una Mujer" are all performed in a Tipico fashion and it's easy to imagine yourself in 1950s' Cuba when you listen to them.
