"This was Roberto Roena's final Fania release and his only collaboration with the great sonero Adalberto Santiago. What sets this CD apart from Roberto's previous releases is that it has a more laid-back, classic Cuban-music-flavored Son Montuno/Tipico/ Conjunto sound, style and ambience on most tracks. "Vigilandote", "Campanera", "Dios Me Libre", "Te Solte La rienda" and "Yo Tenia Una Mujer" are all performed in a Tipico fashion and it's easy to imagine yourself in 1950s' Cuba when you listen to them. Adalberto's soulful, earthy and powerful vocals are the perfect compliment to the band's musicians' tight playing. Get this CD now and enjoy it!!!"
