"By all accounts Robert died in the mid-1980's. Many may not realise that he was disabled and used a wheelchair, having suffered from polio - apparently he suffered an illness and died a couple of years after he released his second album.
A great loss - this CD is a must if you love the traditional soul sounds. Its wonderful. Can't recommend it more highly."

"I first heard this song back in 1986 when a friend gave a "mix" tape to me, with none of the artists identified (damn you Tony!)...18 years later (another) friend found Robert Winters for me and I now have a name to go with that magnificent voice! Definitely one of the best singers ever!"
