"The late Mr. Robert Calvert, poet, playwrite, songster, musician and historical oddity has never ceased to amaze this listener. From his days with Hawkwind and through his solo projects, Calvert always manages to leave a lasting and thought-provoking impression on one's mind. Though not of the caliber of some other works, Freq:Revisited is a very easy disc to grab hold of and enjoy. The techno-space formations take one through highs and lows, interpolated with spoken word and mind bending thought processes. One leaves Freq scratching the head and wondering just "what exactly did I just hear?". Lord of the Hornets and Ned Ludd are bellweather tunes which tweak the imagination and send one running for more, while intermittent 'sketches' provide a comedic and oft historical view from Mr. Calvert's lofty perch. Knowing the history of Calvert makes this easier to understand, but after one listen you will scurry to find out just what made this man 'tick'."
