"Politics, religion, life itself. On these subjects there can be and are many views. To be punk isn't to conform to an ideal or waver on the subject of rock n' roll. The River City Rebels (South Main's gutter punks) tear back the layers of the onion to reveal the cold hard truth. The onion is as harsh to sniff as glue, and yet it can make a grown man cry. From the first track on it's clear to a fan that we've grown past the same ol', same ol' quick chord changes and turned around phrases. "Hurt Like I Do" is the "Welcome to The Jungle" of the release. Come out swinging and hit em' right between the eyes. The release has not one filler track in my mind. It moves in and out from "Cheap Trick" to the "New York Dolls", straight into the Radio friendy "No Easy Way Out" and "Dreamy 17". Just when you've gotten used to the tempo of the record it does a one eighty on you."Glitter And Gold" and "Her New Man" rip it old school. To close out you're treated to an acousitc type thing with "Bloody April". In the lyrics of the song Bopper tips his hat to "The Cure" with.... "boys don't and I won't, so just walk on by - Through treason and reason you'll alway's be my bloody April". Heart felt delivery that delivers on every front. This is a must have for any of you "Rebels rouoser, the Life Long Rockers and the dead end kids".
Tony"

"I work at a radio station at my college so I've had this cd for about a month now. It's absolutely the best album from the River City Rebels so far. The album's all about the up's and downs of being in love, and is definitely a different style than the hardcore Rousers are going to be used. Yet it is still worth every penny. Some of the tracks I recommend checking out are "Cloudy Times", "Hate To Be Loved", "No Easy Way Out", and "Glitter and Gold" but the entire album is absolutely amazing."
