"If you like bands like Mandrill and early Santana then you'll probably like these guys. Very funky, great organ work & some tight ensemble playing. The only drawback is that their sound becomes a little repetitious which is why I didn't give 5 stars. Overall though ,I highly recommend this disc. Nice grooves abound!"

"This Meters meets Mandrill hard driving funk group has been well kept secret of the hip hoppers... you've probably heard samples from it, but these guys aren't exactly household names like JB and The Neville Brothers... still, if you like hard, in your face percussion, horn and B-3 driven funk, this is THE album by RIPPLE to get. So my question is... when's BLACK HEAT going to get reissued ?"
