"In the early 70s, a group called "Ton, Steine, Scherben" shocked the etablished music business with their raw sound and very political lyrics, they were perhaps the first rock group in Germany who had a real message in their songs. Their songs were full of anarchy, hate for capitalism and about the dream of a better world. After their split in the early 80s, Rio Reiser, the charismatic lead singer, continued to make music. Critics say, he sold himself to commercial pop instead of staying independent from the industry. It is wrong to say, he has become more tame than in his time with the "Scherben". In fact he created some of the most beautiful ballads in german music, "Junimond" and "Für immer und dich". These wonderful songs have been blessed with Rios unique voice. You can feel that this man sings from the bottom of his heart."
