Complex and compelling.

"My brother studied with Rinde's dad at U of Iowa and introduced me to his music with "Slow Fire" by the Paul Dresher Ensemble. "Story In, Story Out" offers the listener a performance that might be described as being somewhere between Kerouac, Robbie Basho, and Franz Schubert. The production is exceptional. This album reminds me of the ability of music to help us transcend the mundane."
Simply beautiful.

"As with all of his work, Rinde Eckert, on "Story In, Story Out," weaves poetry, story, and music together into a luxurious, seamless, tapestry. The album consists of two "stories," one autobiographical and one fiction. Rinde's innovative use of instruments, combined with his classical training and theatrical experience, brings us one of the best albums I have ever heard."
