This Cd is a compilation of great easy listening Standards. Its intent is to be smooth, relaxing and romantic. The style of the artists that I'm attempting to compliment are: Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Hartmen and Arthur Prysock.

"Richard Cookie Thomas is one of the finest vocalists I have ever had the pleasure of working with. His debut CD, The Pleasure of Your Company is beautifully conceived, with a palate of geogeous standards that are familiar to those of all ages and backgrounds. Check out his rendition of 'That's All', and 'What a Wonderful World' - as well as every other track on the CD and Cookie will propel you into a world of romance and relaxation! Soon, Cookie will be known internationally as one of the great voices of jazz. He certainly is a talent that deserves wider recognition - and hopefully that day is forthcoming in the very near future. Don't lose this opportunity to order this incredible CD that will both begin and end your day with warmth and love in your heart!"
The Pleasure Was Mine

"Cookie Thomas lives up to his promise in this warmly performed collection of first-rate songs. The cover of the CD sets the mood...a cozy invitation to curl up by the fire and listen - preferably with the one you love! He sings these numbers with the kind of sincerity only made possible by one who fully appreciates their beauty, as his clear, relaxed voice embraces every song. Cookie's voice is well mated to the Lynne Arriale Trio, who create a sensitive instrumental response to complement the singer, especially on such tunes as "The Very Thought of You," "The Nearness of You," and "When I Fall In Love." And I love those moody changes on "The Look of Love." One of the things I like best about this recording is its unadulterated approach to these classic standards. They are all gems, and they are treated as such...sounds beautiful to me!"
This Cookie is a Monster

"They say the eyes are the windows of the soul. I believe the sound of the voice is equally revealing. The sound of Richard "Cookie" Thomas' voice lets you know in an instant that he's a lovely, genuine, intelligent, and talented individual. Cookie has the most beautiful instrument I've heard in a very long time. People have compared him to Lou Rawls, Nat "King" Cole, and others; but, Cookie has his very own signature sound. I don't know how Cookie came up with the title "The Pleasure of Your Company" for his recording debut, but it's a perfect title. Listening to this wonderful CD is like sharing an intimate moment with a good friend. His singing is warm, rich, sophisticated and tasteful. His choice of material and musicians is superb. I highly recommend adding this CD, his Christmas release, and any of Cookie's future releases to your music collection. Thanks, Cookie, for many hours of enjoyable listening."
Warm and wonderful

"This is certainly a warm and wonderful collection of songs, performed with great style and feeling. Cookie is a fine vocalist and this album makes for an emphatic calling-card. What elevates it to a higher plane is the presence of the outstanding pianist Lynne Arriale and her group. Without a doubt, Lynne is one of the premier jazz keyboard stylists around, and her contribution to the disc is faultlessly sympathetic. One to buy."
