"Experiments 1980- 82" is the absolute antithesis of the ambient music many fans associate with Richard Bone...it owes more to Bebe Baron (Forbidden Planet) than Harold Budd. In fact, an original copy of the Forbidden Planet soundtrack, signed by Bebe Baron, stood watch over the original sessions. The 10 abstract pieces were directly inspired by the pioneering electronic works of Morton Subotnick, Charles Dodge and Tod Dockstader. The bulk of the material comes from two cassette only releases, Quiz Party & Life in Video City, which were available exclusively through Eurock Magazine between 1980-82. There were less than 50 copies of these original cassettes ever made! "Experiments 1980- 82" also contains three previously unreleased works from the same era as well as never before seen photos. RELEASED IN A VERY LIMITED EDITION!
