"Richard Anthony's CD Les plus belles chansons is an assortment of American, English, and French rock and roll and folksie songs. If you love Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra's style of music, then music lovers will like this album. The titles include:Itsy bitsy, petit bikini (itsy bitsy polka dot bikini) ; Fich'le camp Jack (Hit the road jack) ; J'entends siffler la train (500 miles) ; C'est ma fete (It's my party) ; Et je m'en vais ; Aranjuez mon amour ; Le sirop typhon ; Na na he he espoir (Na, na, na, hey, hey, goodbye) ; Ecoute dans le vent (Blowing in the wind) Lundi, lundi (Monday Monday) ; Fille sauvage (Ruby Tuesday) Sunny ; Je me suis souvent demande Elle a des yeux d'ange ; Viens ; Jamais je ne vivrai sans toi (You don't have to say you love me)From the rock and roll songs to the romantic ones, Richard Anthony does a trememdous interpretation of the oldies, even though at that time they were new. The J'entends siffler le train will remind music lovers of Peter Paul and Mary ; Lundi, Lundi of Mamas and the Papas; Ecoute dans le vent of Bob Dylan. But the two favorites for my part are the haunting melody of Aranjuez mon amour, and the popular Jamais je ne vivrai sans toi (You don't have to say you love me). To hear this song in French truly makes this indeed a romantic song.I recommend this CD to all. And you don't have to understand the words ; the music and the voice of Richard Anthony tells it all."
