What Yngwie should sound like today.

"I was so amazed at some clips that I heard from this album online, that I had to buy the whole thing, and I was not disapointed! This is easily the best neo-classical metal album of this decade. It is better than any album Malmsteen has released in the past 10 years (except the concerto suite).
These are older songs of Andersson's, but have been re-recorded with ex-Malmsteen vocalist (and my personal favorite) Goran Edman. A lot of people don't like Goran's voice saying it is too mainstream, which is unfair. He is an amazing vocalist with a lot of soul, range and a knack for nailing progressive rock melodies. If Edman would have continued to work with Yngwie as he was trying to distance himself from the pop metal of the 80's, this is a taste of what could have been.
The keyboards are amazing! I particularly loved the solo on Confusicous. Magnus Nilsson, an old friend of Andersson, is on guitar, and has obviously studied his Yngwie technique. He is every bit as good as the maestro. The drums and bass are solid, tight, and superb throughout.
This is the best album I have bought in years, and I highly, highly advise anyone that loves vintage Yngwie Malmsteen, Symphony X, or any power metal, or progressive acts to pick up a copy as soon as possible."
