Full of chunky hardcore riffs

"These guys claimed to be ska but I dunno... Their sound is about as close to ska as Slayer is to being a folk combo. This is a goofy, jokey (limited) concept album, to be sure, but it rocks in a hardcore way far more furious than %99.9 of today's weak, bratty "punk" sissies do."
Very excellent, very silly San Diego hardcore punk

"No punk rock collection is complete without this gem. All the songs are about rice (the starchy food), specifically how much it rules or how it's gonna kick your behind. They re-work a Chain Of Strength song to fit with their ideals, calling it Grain Of Strength. I'm sort of at a loss for words listening to it. Musically, it's very fast (mostly), pretty heavy stuff. I know some of the members were in Heroin as well and the styles are comparable, though not identical. It also has horns thrown in now and then. Lyrically, well what more can be said about a band that asks the all-important question: "Where are the sparrows when you really need them?" Unfortunately, these guys broke up a long time ago. You should buy this record."
