Product DescriptionOn Til Tomorrow, his first release since 2007s acclaimed Outro Rio, guitarist Ricardo Silveira presents a career retrospective that contains highlights from his 26-year history as a solo artist, brought up to date for the new millennium. Til Tomorrow includes newly recorded versions of such classic Silveira compositions from 1990s Amazon Secrets (which reached the Top Ten on Billboards Contemporary Jazz Albums chart); from Long Distance (1988); and from 1989s Skylight. Also included on the CD are several tracks from Bom de Tocar, Silveiras 1984 Brazilian debut as a recording artist in his own right, after years as one of the most in-demand side men in Brazil working with such legendary artists as Milton Nascimento and Gilberto Gil. Portal do Cor, which appeared as an instrumental titled 55 on Bom de Tocar, features lyrics written by Nascimento, who included it on his own Encantos e Despididas release. Highlighting a career that includes four CDs on the Billboard charts, and a nomination for a Latin Grammy award (for Silveiras 2006 release, Noite Clara) these freshly minted tracks also feature contributions from fellow Brazilian luminaries Leo Gandelman and Vittor Santos.
