"I have listened to Ricardo for years, mostly live in San Francisco. This album fails to capture his tremedous piano work but instead sounds more like trying to mimic that "smooth jazz" radio sound. His keyboard touch is way too dramatic often overtly pounding the keys into submission. His "piano leads" are not well thought out and rather boring; his bass lines are too muddled; and the overall album takes you nowhere. David Benoit he is not; usually selecting or writing instrumentals that are uninspired. He could use a melody writer to lock him in to something more recognizable to the listener next time around. I will continue to purchase his future releases in hopes that they are better than this work. Sorry. Two stars..."
