Strong Showing from Debarge

"One of their best and probably their most popular album. Hard to find on CD. More of an uptempo, commercial pop feel than their previous albums as Motown was looking to turn up the sales and tied this in with the Berry Gordy movie "The Last Dragon". Some big hits here including the title track, the ballad "Who's holding Donna Now" which shows El in top vocal form, the funky Chico DeBarge contribution "You wear it Well". Other good tracks are the sister song to the title track, latin fused "Heart is not so Smart", the uptempo "Prime Time", the soft duet classic "Share my World" with El and Bunny taking control and the offbeat "Walls (Come Tumbling Down) which has been a favorite of R&B acts looking to sample. The only down track is probably Marty's lead vocal "Give it Up" which shows he should have spent more time working on his trumpet than trying to contribute vocally. James and Bunny should have been given more vocal time based on their wonderful performances on the "In a Special Way" album. But this is a minor complaint for a fine all around album."
Love It!!!!!
