"On this CD Ray Ruiz sounds like a Marc Anthony clone, same voice, same beat, same style, same energy. I had to come back here to check the release dates to see who came first. Ruiz or Anthony. I give it 4 stars because the music is excellent... just like Marc Anthony."

A new style for the "Rey"

"I enjoyed this album instantly when I first listened to it two years ago. Rey Ruiz debuts "Fenomenal" with his new record company and he certainly has changed his style. This salsa has new rhythms, new energy and new acoustics. This is a nice come back for Rey Ruiz who has dwindled over the past few years. He virtually has had no significant recognition since his album "Destino" or prior. The only flaw on this album is the quality of recording. There is a lot distortion which is unfortunate because it ruins the flavor of such a tremendous album. The album is great other than the recording flaws."

"Este CD ya tiene 3 éxitos ("Muévelo", "Desde que no estás" y "Tuyo" (en Colombia)) y seguirá teniéndolos porque está buenísimo.Rey Ruiz no es solamente muy guapo sino que también es uno de los mejores cantantes de salsa romántica que tenemos. Su voz es seductora y la la vez llena de energía. Su entrega se nota en cada tema. Es un bonito detalle que Rey haya dedicado una canción a sus fans en esta producción ("Amigos de verdad"). ¡Gracias!Lástima que no le brinden más atención en las emisoras de los Estados Unidos. Este muchacho, ya veterano en su género, se merece más."
