CD ReviewsBest Dub Reggae Album Ever! Oannes | Camberwell, Melbourne, Australia | 11/24/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "I think this is simply the best Dub Reggae album I've ever heard! (yet) It's got fantastic Bass-lines, shimmering tape echoes, going off to infinity, and wonderful sound quality.
I have heard other compilations of Dub, but this one has a flow to it, that just works for me, it's incredibly relaxing, spiritual and hypnotic. The title of the disc suggests to me that there is a volume one? if so I will try and track it down. I can't really comment on the artists involved in this, but a full story is outlined in the included booklet, which is very interesting and informative. Once again, this is the real thing, from a small studio in Jamaica between the years 1974-1980, who could ask for more!" |
