CD ReviewsCompletely Biased Review John W Manley | Liverpool, Merseyside United Kingdom | 03/28/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "'Smile' by the Remo Four, everybody should own a copy of this record, it's jazz blues at it's best, plus it was my Dad's first and best group (he was the founder, singer, writer and guitar player!!) enjoy!!" I agree!! Naomi Richardson | Manchester,England | 04/19/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "Having never heard the Remo Four before I was astounded by the album! Great guitar pieces, and "Live like a Lady" is one of the highlights." Smile Colin Rusch | Toronto, Canada | 07/28/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "Smile! As Colin Manley's son says 'everybody should own a copy of this album'. I saw the Remo Four several times when I lived in Germany in 1966/67 and was lucky enough to get an original vinyl copy of Smile. The production of the record was incredible then (recorded in Germany)and atill sounds amazing today. As a live band the Remo Four were one of the best acts I have ever seen and I am not waxing nostalgic here; it's simply a fact. I have heard them play all the songs on Smile live and they stretched some of the songs without ever becoming self-indulgent. They also played a superb version of Cannonball Adderley's 'Mercy Mercy Mercy' a tune I wish they had recorded. Should Colin Manley's son ever read this, I would love to get a one-line email from him to say hello.
