Better to listen elsewhere

"I was looking forward to falling asleep to the gentle sounds of wind chimes but what I got was so harsh and artifical sounding that I will probably never listen to that particular CD. The surfside sounds were just as bad, only the rain storm CD was anywhere near real sounding. the old saying "you get what you pay for" holds for this CD set."
Worth it for Thundering Rainstorms alone

"I bought each of these separately, and I agree with the other reviewer that the windchimes CD is not a great one. The surf CD is just fine, assuming that what you are looking for is a CD of ... ocean surf sounds.
Thundering Rainstorm is also a CD of the ambient sounds you get during a thundering rainstorm. After my wife tired of Rachmaninov's Vespers, we tried this CD, and many nights we set it to repeatedly play softly in the background while we sleep. It is very relaxing. There are one or two points where the volume is a little louder than I'd like, but we have gotten literally hundreds of hours of enjoyment from this one CD.
These types of CDs are not for everyone. Nobody is going to rush off to a "Relax With" concert. However, they are what they were designed to be: relaxing sounds to play in the background of whatever else you are doing."
