"If you are a fan of pure grind and know bands like anb, the amazing pigdestroyer,nasum, and, napalmdeath...I assume you already love regurgitate. I bought this 2 days after it was release and i haven't stop listining to it--- i mean, i have my breaks and all but i still come back to it from time to time. Twenty seven tracks of pure,amazing grind!"

"Deviant" Deviates in an Undesirable Way

"With their aptly titled "Deviant" album, Regurgitate fails to live up to the expectations created by their previous bursts of sheer power such as "Carnivorous Erection" and even the critically ambivalent "Hatefilled Vengeance." For the most part, the music is pretty typical grindcore fare with the slight twist that Regurgitate puts on, but gone are the gurgles and growls that were heard on earlier releases. Instead, it's just typical high-pitched screaming, thus it makes Regurgitate seem less like a gore-grind band and more like a typical Relapse "nu-grind" band. Don't get me wrong, this release is decent, but it doesn't feel like Regurgitate and I fear that with the next album, even more severe changes will be made. If you're new to Regurgitate, I suggest starting with Carnivorous Erection, but if you're a seasoned listener, this isn't a bad record either."
