"Her first CD "All by myself" was a stunning debut album but it was not pefect. It was rated one of the best albums of the year, worlwide.A true, charismatic star was born. But there was a little too much above..the lines,as she had to prove to the world that she had an impressive and"unique"voice and talent.
With this new CD"This is Regina!"(and the title itself sounds like her own statement"Take it,or leave it!"),the "belle"Belle doesn't have to prove anything, she doesn't need to go to London or Paris,to Rome or Berlin on an endless and extremely tiring tour to promote her recording:her singing is hartfelt and cool, funky and sophisticated, jazzy and soulful;the stuff that she sings is very good, inspired, funny and romantic;the musicians are excellent and at their ease as they're playing for fun;the feeling is just the right one, magic, simple and beautiful. You can "find her" in a very well crafted CD in any music store, anywhere in the world. You can "feel her" even at home, next to your cd-player.Isn't it funny?Isn't it prodigious?Oooh boy!!!!
We read that Regina wrote some of the songs:we salute her as an extremely accurate and conscious songwriter, who never overdoes:the less(but with honesty and heart),the better.Certainly, this is the best CD in the Urban A/C category of the last three months, and one of the five best CDs of the year:no doubt that this year or the next one it is worthy a Grammy nomination. The recipe?Simlicity, professionality and...a "small"gift,a precious instrument from God:an inimitable, matchless, sublime voice. The VOICE."
All by ..herself ! The greatness of a woman who can.."sang"!

"Belle has been making an impact on the music world since her 1987 stunning debut album "All by myself",which went gold and took her immediately on the top of the American pantheon of the
greats.
Now she can look back on a career rich in achievement and accomplishment (an Oscar award,a Grammy and several nominations plus millions of CDs sold worldwide). This new intriguing collection starts well, with highlights including the cool "Oooh boy",the majestic (and a little melodramatic) "From now on",the sparkling "Johnny's back" and the sassy "Don't wanna go home",all candidates for the 2003 Grammys. In an equal world,it should be her turn now,at last!
Although my favourite track is the sensuous, jazzy "Take my time",with her mesmerising, incomparable phrasing.
With the right support from the radio stations and from her new label,Regina Belle seems destined to be one of the great performers of the 21st Century."
One of the "unlucky 7" from 2001 that now delivers MASSIVELY

"I had a chance to read a customer's review about this excellent
album, which probably didn't get ,at the very beginning, the right and the wide attention it deserved.
I bought it lately,on the wave of a massive airplay on all the American radio stations .It means that this information was not completely true.
I like this album and I think that Ms.Belle is doing a great job, gathering together her love of funk, jazz and r'n'b into a music which is totally intoxicating!
Deep groove,passionate phrasing,hartfelt melodies.
Who can deny the beauty of smash hits like "Oooh boy","From now on",or other tracks like "You said","Someone who needs me","Johnny's back"?...I truly believe that at least one more single hit is in the making! And the Grammys are not that far!
In my modest opinion,Regina has never been exceptional in a very short run.It takes time for listeners to understand the beauty of what she sings. Also, she is NOT for everybody, she doesn't want to please everybody...she plays what she likes. Is that wrong? She is not Britney, she is not Ashanti. She is not a 'three months time' charts bestseller! She is a classy vocalist.
She is Regina Belle and because of that she can even choose a small, indie label to deliver her ideas about how to make music.
Period.
And that's the reasons why 'now' people respond massively to her
great,fantastic, timeless songs."

"This album is amazing. In fact, this is my favorite CD from Regina Belle. The two tracks "From Now On" and "Someone Who Needs Me" are light years beyond five stars in their lyrics, melody and of course Regina's soulful, passionate voice. If you're a fan of Regina Belle's earlier music, you will appreciate the maturity of this album. If you're unfamiliar with Regina Belle, check out this album - you won't be disappointed."
Lookin for love in all the right places...Miss Regina.

"I was speechless when I first listened to this CD... and learned that the days of (record companies) promoting great music CDs is GONE GONE GONE forever...period and evidently~ I most agree with reviewer Phyllis Rhodes. A jazz/r&b CD can not get too much better, especially when it comes to fun, melody, and relaxation. We must now always search-out to find great music...like this! ...no label is gonna help us find it.
I must respectfully thank Miss Regina plus all the fine musicians and producers. Love the satin dress too :-)"
