Synopsis
Album Description St. Louis's Redding are full-time college students, aged 19 to 25, but these four young Anglophiles have created a mature, melodic, and atmospheric album that defies age and geography, venturing into the anthemic turf of Brit-pop (Coldplay, Travis) and the dark, intricate sensitivity of bands like Doves, Elbow, and Radiohead. This record is being released in conjunction with AntiMusic.com, an online music magazine. |
CD ReviewsI have seen the future of music...and it is REDDING I Sold My Soul For Rock 'N' Roll! | Fairview Heights, IL | 07/18/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "Just like Mr. Fisher, this album truly amazed me. I am at a loss for words. GET THIS ALBUM! Just sit down, because Redding's music isn't just for the moment, but rather something that will be meaningful to you for the rest of your life." WOW!!! Draggoness | 07/30/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "Redding has an AMAZING sound. I loved the entire CD. It is a definate must have!!" Very impressive first effort Titanost | St. Louis, MO | 09/08/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "I got a chance to see Redding play at the Creepy Crawl in St. Louis, and I was blown away by their mature sound and gorgeous melodies. That prompted me to pick up this album, and once again I was blown away. It's hard for me to understand how this band can still be relatively unknown, when they are clearly better than most bands played on the radio today. I can see the Coldplay comparisons, but these guys are young and will certainly carve out their own niche in the future. The only song I have a problem with is "All I Can Hold", which sounds like one of the many insipid, watered-down songs played to death on mass radio. The rest of the album is hands-down excellent - pick it up. You won't regret it"
