"Hot Dawg! Here's one way cool release from Mr. Saxon & friends and a total flashback to a time when music was still good. Apart from the modern sound quality of the recording, it sounds like it was written & played in 1967. The trademark Seeds FUZZ & cheesy organ are all there --- in spades! Lyrics are great, check out "Fools on Capital Hill" and "Judge with a Bomb". Especially a hoot is "Violet Ray" -- any song with fuzz 'n' phasing about flying saucers & world peace is OK in my book.
Songs run from red-hot surf-style pounders with lotsa shouts, laid-back bluesy excursions, syrupy Doors-style crooners, and even a nice stoned country-rock ending. This is good stuff, course I still listen to all my old Seeds wax anyway. I'd rank this slab right behind their debut. These guys definitely don't need any formaldehyde to keep going."
