Heavy guitars, hard hitting drums, pulse jarring bass, and emotional lyrics are the fundamentals that encompass Red 13. For many years the band has been successful in fusing modern metal and alternative rock, constructing an energy fueled raw sound. Red 13 is the perfect combination of five creative musicians sharing a passion to write poignant music. Red 13 has a live show second to none and have been striving on the NY/NJ scene expanding their soundscape with some of the area's greatest bands. Red 13 has recorded their debut CD entitled "My Bitter Story"; which was produced by Max Illidge (Black Market Hero, 40 Below Summer) and engineered by Micah Havertape (Black Market Hero, Flaw). The release of the record on Romulus X Records was on July 8th, 2008. In addition, Red 13 has supported national acts such as Ill Nino, Soulfly, BILE, Finger Eleven, Hidden in Plain View, HED(PE), It Dies Today, Gotham Road, Powerman 5000, Kittie, Blessed By A Broken Heart, and Silent Civilian. The band continues to work toward the ultimate goal of expressing the brutal pains and subtle bliss of life not only for themselves but for all who will listen.
