CD Reviews
Stunning!

"I did not used to be a big fan of her music. Pray changed all that. Her music is stunning, life changing, tear jerking, and thrilling.Who can sing lyrics better then their author? RSJ created a brilliant CD with brilliant music.Pray is faultless. the type of song that makes you fall on your knees and think of Jesus, all he's done, and how he can change you.The song Give Myself Away is similar. I cried listening to it. It has a big beat, and a big message. I love this song. I'll Carry You always brings tears to my eyes. I think about all the struggles I've had in my life, and how my family, and Jesus lifted me up, and this song is a perfect expression of agape love, unending love for someone and that willingness to help someone.Peace blew me off my feet. This song rocked me for quite some time. The words "Be Still and Know, You Are God" are rather soothing. In a way, this is the best song on the CD. It mixes rock and that stuff I call perfect words and makes an incredible blend. This CD has to be one of the best I've ever heard. Along with Michelle Tumes, this CD is top five on my list. I am not a rock girl. But this CD is not Rock. IT IS PURE WORSHIP TO JESUS CHRIST! Thank-you. Now, buy this CD. Maybe it will change your life. Maybe it will strengthen your relationship with Jesus. Or maybe it will just fill you with the urge to go outside and. . . pray."
The best Contemporary Christian CD ever made?

"This latest CD by Rebecca St James is full of Christian commitment and Spiritual encouragement - along with some dazzling music tracks and RSJ's absolutely superb vocal ability. I actually consider this album to be one of best music CD's (of any kind) that I ever heard. The music is fast (- 'very fast' by Christian music norm) but the message is strong, pure, and wonderful. The love and commitment for Jesus Christ that Rebecca St.James expresses on this album are so palpable, I often have tears welling up in my eyes when I listen to her songs. (And I have listened to this album many, many, many times. )"
The Most Musically Interesting Christian Artist I've Heard

"Years ago, I gave up listening to most popular music, including Christian pop, preferring more musically interesting classical music. Someone sent me this album, and I've listened to it countless times. Rebecca's creativity and blend of musical styles and harmonies are amazing! Her version of Be Thou My Vision (unmarked, at the end) blew me away. Unlike so many albums where just the title song is a hit, ALL of her songs are wonderful. They keep getting better and better. And her message is solid and real. I can't wait for her next album."
Pretty Good!

"This CD is pretty good. When I first heard her voice, I thought that this just wasn't my kind of music. Then I got the CD, and I was very pleasantly surprised! As one reviewer said, "There is a beauty to the rawness of her voice." That puts it in a nutshell. I especially enjoyed "Give Myself Away." The other songs on there are *great* (specifically "Pray," "OK," "Hold Me Jesus," and many more), but "Give Myself Away" really hit home. The lyrics are wonderful, the music is awesome, and Rebecca St. James really lives her life according to God: She doesn't just sing about it. So not only is it great Christian music, it's also got a great Christian message."
Great worship CD!

"I love this CD not just for its catchy songs but for the worshipful atmosphere it creates whenever I listen to it. I get frustrated with "Christian" music that does nothing more than induce a vaguely cheerful emotion. I want music that focuses my mind and heart on the Lord, not on my emotions. Pray does just that with lyrics that praise and honor God. I also appreciate the fact that Rebecca St. James' lyrics are simple to remember - after just a few times of hearing her songs, I find myself singing them all day! Be sure not to miss the hidden song "Be Thou My Vision" on the last track. It is the best version of the best hymn I have heard to date. I highly recommend this CD and would like to thank Ms. St. James for offering a CD that gives glory to the Lord God."
