"Its music like this that made me a Reba fan. This music is a joy to listen to because Reba is so alluring in her vocal style and her presence! She doesn't perform over the top. Just gives us beautiful songs with a beautiful voice that warms the heart "Love by Love". Yes, add this one to your Reba collection. It is well worth it!!"

"From the first song, "Indelibly Blue" to "Love by Love" the last cut, this is first-class all the way. Too many people dismiss Reba's time with the Mercury label as "wasted". I disagree. She recorded some of her best work for the label...certainly grades above her nineties pop material where she's trying to be a modern-day Paula Abdul. When I pop this into my CD player and listen to the beautiful songs, coupled with Reba's sensitive yet strong handling of all the material, I just close my eyes and I am taken to another world. This is the real Reba McEntire folks.....not the Hollywood wannabe who abandoned her roots. This is a top-notch sampling of those roots."
VINTAGE REBA AT HER VERY, VERY BEST!!

"One of my favorite Reba CDs from her early years. This "Mercury" project boasts some of the finest work she ever did!! I love every song on this CD its hard to pick out a favorite. I guess my favorite would be her top five hit "Today All Over Again" proving that Reba has no peer when it comes to a good country waltz!! But this is a fine showcase from a lady, who, when given the right material is unbeatable. You won't find quality like this on her 90s material!!!"
Great Country Classic

An early classic

"This 1981 album provided Reba with her first top five country hit, Today all over again, and included many other fine songs, including a stunning recording of Only you (and you alone), the old Platters hit from the fifties. Other great songs here include Gonna love you till the cows come home (also recorded by Janie Fricke) and How does it feel to be free.My favorite of all the songs here is Small two-bedroom starter, a song that tells the sad story of a house that is owned by a succession of couples each of whom has to sell and move on. It is a classic country song of the type you either love or hate.Reba recorded many fine albums in the eighties that are well worth seeking out and this is one of them, but if you are unfamiliar with Reba's Mercury recordings, I suggest you begin with Oklahoma girl, a double CD that contains many of her classic songs from this period, which I've already reviewed."
