Haven't felt this much alive...

"since that Van Halen concert in 1985.This band is exactly what the world needs right now. A "garage" band that actually knows how to play. An indie-rock band that understands the importance(not to mention proper usage) of noise. A post-everything punk band that can be aggressive & [good looking] at the same time, smart without being pretentious, and emotional without seeming the least bit contrived...whatever you're looking for, Read Yellow has got it. 4 songs, 13 minutes, all set to blow you away. 2 distorted-to-all-heck guitarists cranked up all the way, both bashing their strings mercilessly like they're having a contest on which one can give the other a bigger headache. 1 drummer laying waste to his kit & cymbals like he's trying to one-up both of them. 1 cute distorted female bassist, alternating between melodic leads & fuzzed-out chugging. Recalling the old ghosts of Mission Of Burma, Raw Power-era Stooges, and Fugazi circa 1994(especially the singer, who sounds like a younger Guy Picciotto, but with alcohol consumption) all at once. If this description sounds any good at all to you, you're doing yourself a great disservice by NOT having already purchased this.My pick for best new band of 2003. Their forthcoming full-legnth debut is also my most anticipated release of the year...hurry up already!"
