Billboard and Christian retail outlets promised that this debut release would be the "next big thing" in contemporary Christian music. Is it? Well, let's just say the potential is there for this diversified foursome, especially after the No. 1 single "Always and Forever." Sure-fire hits include the Eurodisco-sounding "All Around the World," the laid-back pop ballads "Place in My Heart" and "My Everything," and the groove-laden "In the Name." But while Raze charts a course virtually new to the CCM genre, one has to wonder how distinct they'll sound in the CD bins next to the Backstreet Boys and other dance-pop favorites of the day. CD ReviewsWOW! Raze Fan | Minnesota | 12/28/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "I'd give this more than 5 stars if it was possible! I heard one song by Raze on the radio and knew I had to have this album. When I got it, I brought it to my best friend's house and played it. Instantly we were awed and we stared open-mouthed at each other and were spellbound by the Awesome sounds coming from her CD player. "WOW!" I said "they're GOOD!" And what an undrstatement that was! I bought the CD for one song and instead got an amazing ensemble! I love this CD- it's amazing! Hip, dancy, catchy tunes and penetrating Christian lyrics that hit you where it counts are all over in this CD. Raze has some slower, beautiful songs and some songs so fast you can barely keep up, making a perfect mixture of sounds and styles. "All around The World" will set your foot tapping, while "Place in My Heart" will leave you teary-eyed. "Always and Forever" is me and my best friend's theme song and chokes me up every time because it's so exactly how I feel. Raze is really razing down walls between cultures and reaching out to the unreached. If you haven't tried them yet, give Raze a chance- you'll never regret it." The music is so imspirational and uplifting and a real joy to listen to."
