Having the raw power of Jimi Hendrix along with the improvising willfulness of Derek Bailey, he cranked out some unbelievable free music from the late 60's to the late 70's (in the 80's he was in a pretty cheesy, mediocre at best group called "RMS"). This music is challenging even by today's standards of rock and jazz. Heavily influential on many of today's avant guitarists such as Thurston Moore (Moore/Winant/Surgal trio), Stefan Jaworzyn (Ascension), Alan Licht (Run-On, Mazzacane-Connors...etc.) & Rudolph Grey (Blue Humans)."
