"This is a hot CD! Ray is cool with his ability to transistion to all kinds of genre! This just reminds us of his versatile musical style!!!

All of the tracks on this CD are awesome, I do agree with the first reviewer that said the "Girl, I saw you" track was a big much. In my opinion, it made Ray seem nagging for the girl to know he saw her and she didn't see him and that there is an issue with this! :)

We must remember, he is an artist and he is not necessarily 'living' these songs. People criticize so harshly. It is more about his musical ability to put out a great sound.

The man is BAD! (slang for:awesome, excellent, tight). He made his fortune, brought great music, was the number one chameleon with his lyrics, first being hurt, being betrayed, in a one sided love affair, is a dog, does it like a dog, being an old pro, thinking about the halo on him because he doesn't have the urge to cheat, was a bad boy who wants to come back home, confidently stated that he has something good...and it is "ME"!, totally changed the face of an old nursery rhyme that most people didn't look at as sensual at all...He's so into you, You're the only one he wants, and you can't change that...but girls are more fun, living alone in Beverly Hills, as a single man, so he can do as much damage as he can, but wants to be two places at the same time, does major damage to the hearts and bodies of the women during his invasion............all while not being afraid of 'no' ghosts!

This is a fine album and he sounds great as usual. He was joined by Father MC and MC Mello who were big rappers at the time and added flavor to his mixes. This is a danceable CD.

Each track speaks of love and relationships with Ray's signature moans and groans and the best one is the album-titled cut: I Love You Like You Are, which is a sweet rendition of how he appreciates his woman the way she is and is almost moaning to the point of convincing her that he can prove how much he loves everything the way it is and is even questioning how he "couldn't help overhearing" her speaking of losing 5 lbs: 'WHY?...when it already looks great...to me" and it is an awesome heartfelt statement from a man; given the kind of world we live in where what the surgeon does is what makes a person attractive, (especially since men are the most affected by what they see!) This particular song is wedding worthy and cemented my dedication, support and love to Ray and his music!

Critics - especially males- have critizied his 'vocals', but no one can deny the brilliance of his lyrics as testament of what goes on in his head when he writes. Here, Ray excelled at his attempt to change with the direction and sound the music world had gone into in the 90's with adding this synthesized, hip hop flavor to his pop singing.

This collection was a wonderful memory for him to leave his fans with when he had to bow out of the industry he loves due to family health issues and raising little ones.

THIS IS 'BRILLIANT' ABILITY, HE PROVED IT, GOT PAID WELL FOR IT AND WITH SUPPORTING, WRITING AND COMPOSING FOR OTHERS BEFORE WE EVEN KNEW HIS NAME!!!!! AWESOME COMPOSITIONS, LICKS AND DOWNRIGHT PUT TOGETHER WELL. EVERY R&B LOVER OR Ray Parker Jr, fan should add this, to be complete.

Don't miss out!"

"After debuting with the Raydioish 'The Other Woman",

following that up with the Princly albums 'Woman Out Of Control'

and 'Sex And The Single Man',then producing the adult soul of

'After Dark' Ray Parker Jr. concludes his solo career with an

album of...NEW JACK SWING?Why did he waste our time?I guess he

noticed how the industry picked up on the style after the recent

big hits by Bobby Brown and Boyz II Men and thought he'd try to cash in-bad move. Many of these songs such as the slightly

chauvanistic "She Needs To Get Some","Love Is So Strange","Girl I Saw You" and "Love,Sex And Money" are strong songs with

excellent hooks to them, but that mechanized, artificial New Jack

beat is like too much salad dressing-it softens the vegatables.

Thankfully some slower ballad material like "Til I Met You","Anegl" and the quircky "Square One" redeem the overall

albums uncertain air.Too bad Ray had to go out this way-he needs

to put out a new album to cover the bad taste of this one!"
