"Upon purchasing this compilation of Rational Youth tracks from the early 80s to 1985, I immediately went and bought their entire catalog--much of which I had to settle for on vinyl because it hasn't been released on CD. Rational Youth absolutely mastered the new wave synth dance pop genre, and should have been a hit machine like Depeche Mode, OMD, and New Order, but instead, went relatively unnoticed. The male vocals, the melodies, the synths and drum machines are the epitome of that 80s sound, reminding me of everyone from Gary Numan to Spoons and Men Without Hats. This compilation includes several alterate mixes as well as some rare 12" versions of a few of their songs, making it a collector's dream. Don't pass this up while it is still in print."
