I love this CD

"I think this CD is excellent, almost perfect in its simplicity. James Raftery's acoustic guitars, creatively layered vocals, strings and simple percussive instrumentation might be considered folk.. with a gothic twist. "Dead Ringer" is one of the most haunting (and beautifully written) songs I have ever heard. The rest of the songs are not far behind. I bought this CD after seeing Rat Wakes Red live at Colby College and the more I listen, the more I like it. I had never heard of the band before seeing them at Colby. I heard singing, wandered into the coffehouse while they were playing... and I stayed until they were finished. I hope to hear more songs from this band in the future and that they (or, at the very least, Rat) can find a way to record and release another album."
