Album Description

I'll Follow Magenta Skies is an interesting and beautiful fusion of American roots influences and dub, with a dreamy, ambient feel. An abstract desert-blues soundscape which evokes a strong sense of the wide-open spaces of the American West. Using acoustic guitars, trumpet, the Chapman Stick, studio effects, beer bottles, found objects, and a home-brewed guitar treatment called "Ghettotronics", Rancho Diablo have crafted a dusty soundtrack for a mythical Western Ghost Town.

You'll imagine yourself, a post-modern hobo, sleeping under a star-filled sky, camping by an alkali lake, coffee boiling in a tin can hung over a fire; or walking along a lonely two-lane highway, dust swirling across the road, as you head toward no particular destination.Listening to Rancho Diablo's music evokes melancholy and imagination.
