Wonderful Music From the Our Master of Popular Jazz

"Ramsey Lewis has been around for decades but as they say: music is timeless. These eight tracks are masterfully remastered done by the folks from Universal Mastering Studios and offered through Verve and the Chess music groups that he was involved with through most of his career.

Some of these tracts are 50plus years old and in 2010, they sounds stunning. I have all these on separate albums I believe but I don't think any can compare. All songs offered here were written by John Lennon and Sir Paul McCartney and I simply love Lewis's jazzy take on these pieces.

A must have I think for anyone liking the earlier jazzier or more melodic jazz he and the 'Trio' did. All songs run around the 5 minute mark so they get to point quickly (no 12min marathons here) and really satisfies the ear and the mind.
