The last straw for Verve.

"Once again, Verve has botched up what could have been a great reissue (I was particularly looking forward to this one) by deleting two bonus tracks that were on the original Chess CD. By making consumers choose between less music and lower sound quality, the record company is insulting our intelligence. I am not likely to buy anything on the Verve label group for quite some time thanks to this fiasco."
Great Music, if You're Able to Hear it

"As one other reviewer brought out, the sound quality of this CD is dissappoiting. It's a very quiet album, and you have to crank it up LOUD to really hear it. Too bad..otherwise the music on it is great. I'm a big fan of Ramsey Lewis, as well as Young-Holt Unlimited. This recording does not do these guys the justice they deserve as fine musicians. Nonetheless, I give it three stars for the content iteself, and not the quality. Let your ears be the judge."
