"Well I'm very surpriced nobody has reviewed this CD because it is truly great. The melodies are great and thre music is always full of ideas and never gets into the "muzac trap". This is the Cd to just put on and jam for an hour! I've had it since it was new and never get tired of it. A lot of the songs are remakes I figured out but it does not sound like "tired remakes" to me. The mostly electric band puts on a great job and the female backing vocals are oh so sexy! A lot more shagadelic than easy listening ;-)
Grab a copy while you can!"
"Ramsey Lewis, the legendary keyboardist, stroke again with this inspired and joyful album where once more his versatility is carved in relief. The re-edition of Sun Goddess 2000 included the featuring of Grover Washington Jr.(in memoriam). There is not a single hole throughout this musical journey.
To my mind, the most distinguished tracks are Cold and windy, Hearst of fire, I will always be with you, Les fleur, but the CD would seem charged with vibrant positive energy.
A true delight for your senses, mind, soul, and spirit.
Absolutely recommended.

"Excellent CD! We originally owned this one on Cassette and had a hard time finding it on CD where we live now. I found it on Amazon and I am so happy I did. We have mostly everything Ramsey has ever made and this almost completes the collection."

"When I first heard "Les Fleurs" on the radio, I was enthralled. Even though I was in the car at the time, I couldn't keep myself from dancing in the driver's seat. Once I got the album info, I quickly sought it out and gave it a test drive. Sadly the rest of the album (with the exception of "Hearts of Fire") doesn't have the same zip. It's not bad, just somewhat bland. It's great in the background, but the tracks don't seem to pull themselves to the foreground. I'm not familiar with Mr. Lewis, but I've heard from others that this album is not indicative of his earlier works. Definitely curious to see what he has done before, since there is promise "between the notes"."
