Hill, founder and producer of the weekly syndicated public radio show since 1973, introduced a recent program featuring Ralph Zurmuhle's music as combining 'the bell like clarity of the piano with the simple lyricism of fine music'.
Hailing from Switzerland, Ralph discovered his natural talent for the piano at a young age. He fostered it over decades of lessons and classical music studies. For the past twenty-five years his ability to convey the deepest emotions through his playing have been on display with his compositions for film, theater and multimedia. In 2005 he composed the score for several classical silent movies and performed them during a series at the Valencian Institute of Modern Art in Spain. More recently his scores have been featured in numerous European feature films and documentaries including Shift of the Ages, All Secrets, Harvest Moon and Norro.
