"If any format surpasses Rainer Maria's brilliant studio albums, it's seeing the band live, which I was fortunate to do twice during their 2003 tour stops in Detroit. Rainer Maria winds up live with enough energy to drown out the pale reverberations of a hundred dull formatted radio stations. Led by the manic punk guitar of Kyle Fischer, the poetic bass and vocals of Caithlin De Marrais, and Texas Radio Big Beat of drummer William Kuehn, the band's energy echos back to Paul Weller declamation during the Jam's Modern World: "I don't give a damn about your reviews." This is a must-have album for everybody who loves, who still believes in the passion that is rock 'n' roll.Mike"

"Over all I am giving this dvd/live cd 5 stars because of the quality of the dvd. It was filmed quite well and the sound is of a decent quality. The dvd is of a show at a place called the Cat's Cradle, it is the full show and doesn't clip to other concerts which i usually find annoying on music dvd's. There are chapters so that you can skip to your favorite songs as well. also included on the dvd is the video for ears ring which is worth the price on it's own, and a bunch of pictures. The CD on the other hand while is interesting the sound quality isn't the greatest on parts of it, but that can be expected to some extent. there are some nice variations mystery and misery and while the night is so young. overall very nice effort all around."
