To me it was probably the greatest album NEVER heard. Purely as a vocalist I regard him as one of the best. His transitions from his lower bass tones to his butter falsetto seem effortless. As a lyricist he touched me to the core of my soul. Charade, Pride, Zoe's World, Evil, The One To Destroy Me... gosh, the whole album!! It's as good as reading classic poetry. Rachid IS a poet. Charade, Prodigal Pete and And The Angel Comes remain some of my favourite lyrics ever penned. His music cannot be categorized. They would have to create a whole new section in a record store for him. Soul/Rock/Funk/Jazz/ World/Drum&Bass/Dance/Pop/Gospel/Arab/Ambience/Classical Indian... His style is unique... eccentric, fresh, some might even say insane.. This man is totally out of the box. He is what the music world needs today more than ever..
And today Rachid becomes Rasalus. World get ready to hear this "Lion's Roar"... He returns on myspace with two awesome tracks.. (http://www.myspace.com/rachidisrasalus),'Last Call' is funky, fresh and edgy.. and 'Forgive and Forget' is a beautifully penned and translated ballad. Rasalus, sometimes we feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But trust me, the ocean would be less because of your missing drop. Don't leave us again... the world needs your music.
We anticipate your return.

"This guy is the best singer/songwriter you've never heard. His voice and lyrics are amazing. His arrangements are incredible. The is an all around classic album. I can't speak enough good about it. Every song is amazing in its own right. You can tell that his influences are from every genre as he is a chameleon of sorts having mastered every genre. He jumps across the musical spectrum so effortlessly and blends it all so masterfully. This is just plain amazing music."
Great CD!

"The vocals are some of the most incredible in years....a singers singer... and evidence of how screwed up the record business has become... and also proof that success in the industry has nothing to do with talent....excellent album w/amazing lyrical content & music production as well....Bravo Rachid & thanks"
