Honestly nothing fills me with more pride then when I hear a band this good and find out they are Canadian. Honestly, I'm not much of a Hockey Guy anymore...so besides taking

Pride in Beer all I have is Music.

Quo Vadis is an incredible band based out of Quebec. Music wise they are hard to describe. Best comparison I can make is:

The Technical ability of later-day Death, blended with the fury of Sepultura's Arise-Era Thrash and Dark Tranquility's Melodic Metal. (Speaking of DEATH, on their newest album "Defiant Imagination" Steve Digorgio is on the bass!)

All the instrumentation is amazing!!! The Guitar work is precise, epic, and has lots of great solos, The Bass work is actually audible and very busy... this man understands how a bass should sound in Metal, and the Drums... oh the drums... they are fantastic, besides being a master of the double-kickers this man does some fantastic fills and is great with symbol work as well. Vocals are the bands weaker point - they are traditional metal style (Kinda like a Dark Tranquility rasp) but offer subtle spoken word variations which sound really cool... However, the Vocals are only a minor complaint. Overall I find them listenable and even understandable. (Most times) Believe me it shouldn't be enough to turn you off of this stunning musical offering.

"Wow. A few days ago by friend recommended I check out this band. These guys are amazing! I can't believe they're not more popular, this is some of the best trash metal I've ever heard. This music is fast as hell with lots of catchy riffs and amazing solos. Their drummer sounds like some kind of animal, with some really sweet double-bass sequences. The vocals are not quite as impressive as the drums and guitar, and are pretty harsh death-metal style. However, they're still pretty decent and fit this style of music very well. The best songs are On The Shores Of Ithaka and Absolution. Dream is also a beautiful instrumental piece. This cd gets 5 stars because it blew my mind the first time I listened to it and it gets better with every listen. Check these guys out right away you will not be dissapointed, especially if you like stuff like In Flames and Sepultura."

"This album strikes amazment in people instantly. The first thing eveyrone notices is the overwhelming use of double bass to perfection. "On The Shores of Ithica" is definitely the best song on the CD, not to take away from the CD, however. The whoile CD is good but "oh the Shores of Ithica" is unbelievable. It is number 7 on the CD. I am a huge fan of all sorts of metal and this song is by far my favorite metal song. Quo Vadis coordinates drums and guitars in ways I never thought possible. The best word i can think of to describe this bad is EPIC. This CD is definitely worth buying."
