Wild Pack finds Quiet Life expanding on the easy-going folk rock of Big Green into darker and grittier territory. The band enlisted the help of notable Portland musicians like Dave Depper (Fruit Bats, Menomena), Nathan Junior (M Ward, Dandy Warhols), Laurel Simmons (Alela Diane, Indians), and more, to create a record that embodies the spirit of their live show while also utilizing modern sound engineering pleasantries such as fuzzed-out Leslie-simulated pedal-steel guitar pedals and twangy modified vintage amplifiers. In the end though, Wild Pack remains true to the aesthetics of roots rock and roll. Road warriors from the very beginning, Quiet Life left New London, CT for San Luis Obispo, only to end up in Portland, OR. Just a pair of brothers and a few good friends in a van that runs on waste veggie oil. The band will tour with The Head And The Heart this fall.
