"Without being too critical of modern goth rock i can safely say that it is too often unimaginative and lifeless. However not a fan of the genre i cant say how this album would fare in that category but there is a definite dark, gothic side to this album. Scathing, powerful 'big black' -esque riffs are contrasted by frighteningly beautifull melodies. Heavily atmospheric, it sounds like the gloomier sonic youth of old treading paths with the attitude of type o negative. It is worth buying the album just to hear the singers voice as she is one of the best vocalists of the decade. What strikes you first is how emotional and pain striken it is and how she can change between sarcastically sickly sweet angelicness and the occasional scream. The guitars are noisy and the drumming is heavily atmospheric. This is a gorgeous album, but frightening. Dont expect thoughts of love happiness and serenity after listening to Taxidermy."

"Not Afraid of anything, Ms. Katie Jane Garside will show you her feeling and is not afraid to let you in on her secrets. Katie Jane has an amazing angelic vocie, but when it comes down to it she's not afraid to let it all out. This amazing band from the UK will keep you wondering. So many questions, such a great band. Katie Jane is a girl that knows what she wants to stand for and stands for it. this album is strong in what they believe and every spirtiual, hard and very deep. this album is for everyone that has deep feelings and everyone that wants to stand for something."

"Featuring the unique vocals of ex Daisy Chainsaw front-woman, Katy Jane Garside,Taxidermy is Queen Adreena's debut album.Certain comparisons can be drawn to her former band, but Queen Adreena are nothing if unique, and they are certainly more downbeat then their former incarnation. With its grainy and abrassive guitars, haunting vocals and atmospheric drums, Taxidermy isnt easy listening; but then that isnt why you should be listening to an album like this anyway. The music itself is stark and having inserted itself into your skull, it simply wont leave. The melodies displayed here are contrasted sharply with often brutal guitar riffs and heavy drumming, making for some of the greatest music to come out of Britain for a great many years. On tracks like ' I Adore You ' QA are at their best, angelic vocals over a squalling guitar sound complemented by HEAVY drumming. However, other songs show the diversity which QA have at their disposal; the excellent ' Weeds ' clearly showing the vocal prowess of Katy, as she sings in a bitter-sweet lament. What Queen Adreena have managed to record here is hard to describe in words, but if you are looking for some of the most unique music i have ever heard, than this album is most defintely for you."
No word to describe this beautiful cd

"Queen Adreena's album "Taxidermy" is a real pleasure to listen to. Great soft songs sometimes and rock songs. The sounds is heavy, powerfull. The imaginary circus style of the band is a + in this perfect cd. A great moment for those who like rock songs with originality. A must."
