Member CD ReviewsMichelle D. from HAMPDEN, ME Reviewed on 12/21/2020... This album is very good, even better if you recall what conditions it was recorded in. Freddie Mercury ad been diagnosed with AIDS but kept it to himself. Mercury told the rest of the band, Queen, that he was going to die soon. They wrote most of the songs under the influence that Mercury was going to perish soon. Most of the songs are about just that, the impending inevitability of death. But not in a frightening way. I will now talk about my feelings on each track. 1. Innuendo-One of my favorites off of this album. It is six minutes long and sort of reminds me of Bohemian Rhapsody, but too much. 5/5 2. I'm Going Slightly Mad- My favorite song off Innuendo. 5/5 3. Headlong- Very fast rock song. It reminds me of their first few albums. 4/5 4.I Can't Live With You- Pretty good song. 4/5 5. Don't Try So Hard- Another good song. 4/5 6. Ride The Wild Wind- Another one of my favorites. Very light and airy for the first lines. 4/5 7. All God's People- This is my least favorite track on this album. I couldn't listen to it the first few times, it just doesn't sound like Queen. I like it more and more each time I listen to it. 4/5 8. These Are The Days Of Our Lives- Very, very good song. It is the second biggest hit on here. The first is yet to come. 5/5 9. Delilah- This is about Freddie Mercury's cat. He didn't like Roger Taylor's song 'I'm In Love With My Car' so he said, "If you're going to put a song about a car on an album, I will put a song about one of my cats on another album," and he did. It worked out very well. It is very happy and playful, like a cat. 4/5 10. The Hitman- This song is very good. 4/5 11. Bijou- this song isn't all that good. It is fine, but it doesn't compare to the next song. 3/5 12. The Show Must Go On- Everybody knows this song. It was the biggest hit off of this album. The live version that is on Greatest Hits III with Elton John is even better. This song is Freddie Mercury saying, "When I die in a few weeks, I want you to keep on recording and touring as if I have never left," sort of. This is the perfect closer to Freddie Mercury's life. 5/5 FINAL SCORE: 51/ 60. Not quite perfect. I think that this was Freddie Mercury's last stand, that he knew he was going to die when he made this album, that Queen is my favorite band, that Mercury is my idol, that the album cover is so great... It gets nine...ty extra points. This is my favorite album of all time. Nothing can really beat this album... Maybe 1 of 1 member(s) found this review helpful.
