CD Reviews
Absolutely sublime RW Griffith | Linear North | 02/16/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "A day at the races is easy to see as juxtaposed against A night at the opera. It is so unlike A night at the opera that you may at first wonder if it's a different band playing. This album is just beautiful. There's really no other way to describe the wonderful melodies interlaced with Brian May's inimitable rock and roll guitar stylings. Tie Your mother Down, Somebody to Love, Good Old fashioned lover boy are all classic Queen songs that should never be forgotten. But there are other songs that are just as great that are too underappreciated, like Teo Torriatte(Let us cling together), Long away, You and I, and The Millionaire Waltz. Teo Torriatte is this album's Bohemian Rhapsody and it is probably the most beautiful song ever composed by Queen(except for maybe The Show must go on and the majority of Made in Heaven). This album from beginning to end is a masterpiece of rock and beauty, perfectly coordinated into something that transcends many genres and many tastes. I love this album."
