"I confess I really ignored about Johann Quantz until a fiend, flute amateur, brought this album to me as a gift from his recent travel through Europe. Perhaps because of his not so prolific work Quantz was relegated to a second or third place behind great composer of all time. Even if one refers to the baroque period, the name of this musician appears well after Vivaldi, Haendel and Bach, of course. But Quantz was a real great composer and flute player. This CD shows the only a part of his talent who could reach our days: the wonderful music writer he was. If you like the baroque period, give a listen to this composer."
