Unbelievable alien percussion music

"This album's two pieces, "When Cracks Appear" and "Gravity Waves", consist of Chris Cutler improvising on drums and electrified drums (not electronic drums - instead, the drums and cymbals are electrically amplified and processed somehow) and Thomas DiMuzio electronically transforming the sound in real time and using samples (something at which he is highly skilled). This is not a fast & furious style percussion album, but it is virtually a relevation of the sonic possibilities for percussion. You won't even believe these two musicians are able to make music like this. It's very difficult to describe, some sorta mix of meditative avant-garde, the alien jungle sounds, frightening Terminator army battle drums, and the engine to a vehicle with strange technology. Incredible, powerful recording quality too, with a great sense of space and depth. Highly recommended, especially to those who have a particular interest in mind-altering percussion music."
