Album Description2008 compilation from the Dutch Beat group, spanning the years 1966-68. From The Hague in Holland, Q65 were among the country's wildest groups of the '60s. Their firebrand approach to the Beat and Rhythm 'N' Blues boom was the opposite of what most of the country's successful Pop group fraternity were putting over at the time; best represented with the unpolished, raw intensity of 'You're The Victor', their 1966 debut for Decca which shook up the charts and caused shockwaves throughout the nation's living rooms. They continued to crack the top end of the Dutch pop charts with killer singles such as 'The Life I Live', and 'I Despise You'; took part in a crazy record company promotional stunt crossing the sea from England in a rubber dinghy, and in Revolution, created one of the best debut LPs of the era. The group split up early and to this day the power and impenetrable charm of the original Q65 remains unsurpassed. 24 tracks. Rev-Ola.
