"I must say, I first listened to this album because the cover looked interesting, and good thing. It drew me right in. I listened to the first song....great, lazy music with relaxing beats, good for nodding your head to. But the suprizing thing was, nearly evey track after #1 was good too. I highly suggest this for anyone looking for something new and fresh."

"nice and smooth groove for late night rendezvous experience... has good continuity... nothing stands out -- not earthshaking -- but definitely fills a worthwhile niche..."
Dancing around the world

""World Groove" is a delicious compilation of sexy dance music from around the world. It's a perfect companion to the chill-out of "World Lounge." It gets anyone jazzed up for the dance floor. As usual, Putumayo picks a fascinating collection of artists.
"World Groove" has the Germanic easy listening of 2raumwohnung (lest one think of that as a contradiction in terms) There's the Turkish groove of Mustafa Sandal (check out Putumayo's "Turkish Groove" for more) Malian artist Issa Bagayogo blends ancient African sounds with modernity. Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama brings Arabic music with a beat. There's refreshing, social conscious hip-hop from Algeria's Cheb Mami and K-Mel in the "Parisien du Nord" remix. The Belgian/Congolese singer Zap Mama is another Aretha Franklin with an electric beat. Since it's an enhanced CD,there's a music video from the Egyptian Hisham Abbas.
"World Groove" gets you dancing around the globe!"
Pretty Good Groove

"This is a pretty decent album. I like about half of the selections, which is not a bad thing, in my opinion. I don't think anybody likes everything on an album. All the songs were very well done. This is unusual music, but there is probably something for everybody. Some of the songs really make me want to get up and dance. My sister has the album too. She says the same thing, but she likes the last half of the album while I like the first half."
