Spot On

"I've "needed" rain cd's to fall asleep every since I was a young boy. My last rain cd had seen it's last day so I came upon "rain on a tin roof". I've been very pleasantly surprised by this cd. The sounds are consistent and provide a great atmosphere for sleeping or meditation. This is a very basic soundtrack with little variation in the intensity and duration of the rain. If you are looking for something simple, stripped down and spot on this is it."
Unrealistic variation in intensity

"I can't agree with the praise of the other reviewers. The intensity of the rain alternates at an unrealistic rate. About every three to five seconds or so. Programmed or doctored in this way to sound more 'natural'. It actually sounds artificial. Real rain varies of course - but not at this frequency. If the rain were steadier this would be a great CD. Compare with the much better 'Rain in the Country'."
Sounds nothing like rain on a tin roof!

"I hate to be the dissenter here but when I popped this into my CD player and it started up.. I literally thought someone had turned the treble on my receiver all the way down! It sounded nothing like rain hitting a tin roof! Which would have a significant portion of high frequency range. I'm originally from N. Ireland so I definitely know what rain sounds like hitting all sorts of surfaces...
This sounded more like mice running across a wooden roof... I returned mine for a refund...
Sorry...needs work.
